The Armenian Parliament will likely vote to adopt a bill on the republic’s accession to the European Union, Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan said, Report informs via Interfax.

“The bill on EU accession adopted by the Armenian government does not specify any timeframes or mechanisms. This is a civil society initiative; organizations collected the required 50,000 signatures, this initiative automatically became a bill, and this bill will be put to a vote in parliament,” Mirzoyan said at a joint press conference with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov in Moscow.

“It is expected that the ruling majority will vote in favor. What happens next – we’ll figure it out later,” he added.
