Relations between Azerbaijan and Serbia continue being on a good footing with an upward trend of cooperation in several sectors, foremost energy and security, Serbian political scientist Mirko Dautovic told Report.

He noted that after signing the contract on Azerbaijan gas deliveries in November last year, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev came to Serbia, where the opening of the Serbia-Bulgaria gas interconnector took place in the city of Nis, through which gas will be supplied from the Caspian Sea.

The political scientist also reminded that on the same day, President Aliyev attended a demonstration of unmanned aerial vehicles, anti-drone systems and other Serbian-made military equipment, as well as demonstration performances of special parachute units of Serbia.

“And on the first day of February this year, the armies of two countries signed a military cooperation plan. This speaks that the military diplomacy between our two counties is on an advanced level, in addition to the energy cooperation,” he added.
