The President of the Azerbaijan Wrestling Federation, Economy Minister Mikayil Jabbarov congratulated the Greco-Roman wrestlers who won three gold medals at the World Championship in non-Olympic weight categories held in Tirana, Albania, Report informs.

“Our wrestlers have proudly secured 3 gold medals at the World Championship in Tirana, Albania. Eldaniz Azizli made history as Azerbaijan’s first 4-time world champion in wrestling. Nihat Mammadli and Ulvu Ganizada achieved their first World Championship gold medals,” Jabbarov said on X.

Azerbaijan’s Greco-Roman national wrestling team successfully defended its title, becoming world champions in the team standings for the second consecutive year, he said.
