In recent days, Azerbaijan has been experiencing stable weather conditions, mostly without precipitation. Report informs that, according to Gulnara Abbasova, Deputy Head of the National Hydrometeorological Service, this is due to the prevalence of warm air masses in the atmosphere.
During the first ten days of January, the maximum air temperature reached 16°C in Baku and the Absheron Peninsula, 18°C in the lowland regions, and 13°C in the mountainous areas. Abbasova noted that on January 3, the air temperature in Baku and the Absheron Peninsula was 5.6°C higher than the climatic norm.
