Russia’s Southern District Military Court has sentenced from 8 to 20 years in prison to four persons from Dagestan who participated in the terrorist community in the colony, according to the press service of the court, Report informs referring to TASS.

“In accordance with the verdict of the court, the defendants were found guilty and sentenced to imprisonment for a term of: Bashir Dibirasulaev – based on the totality of this verdict and the Khasavyurt City Court of the Republic of Dagestan – 20 years in a maximum security correctional colony, Islam Akhmedov – 12 years, Amirkhan Akmurzaev – 8 years, Islam Aliyev – according to the totality of this sentence of the Tverskoy District Court and Babushkinsky District Court of Moscow – 10 years and six days in a high-security correctional colony,” the message says.

The court found that, while serving their sentences in a correctional colony in Dagestan, the defendants voluntarily joined and participated in the terrorist community, ensuring its activities. In particular, they informed convicts about the existence of a terrorist community, disseminated extremist and terrorist ideology, and stored materials with calls for extremist and terrorist activities. In addition, Dibirasulaev, Akmurzaev and Aliyev called on other prisoners after their release to spread the ideology of terrorism and involve new people in it, create illegal armed groups, and participate in them.
