The members of the Organizing Committee of the Transitional Milli Majlis of South Azerbaijan arrived in Baku, Report informs.

The visit is carried out at the invitation of the Azerbaijan Umid Party.

The members of the Organizing Committee visited the Alley of Honor on November 21, commemorated Heydar Aliyev, the national leader of Azerbaijan, the architect and founder of the modern independent state of Azerbaijan, and laid a wreath on his grave.

Prominent ophthalmologist-scientist and academician Zarifa Aliyeva was also commemorated, and flowers were laid on her grave.

The delegation also visited the Alley of Martyrs, the Turkish Martyrs’ Memorial, and the grave of Seyid Jafar Peshavari, the leader of the national government that existed in South Azerbaijan in 1945-1946.

The next meeting of the Organizing Committee, meetings with the Umud Party and other political parties in Azerbaijan, non-governmental organizations, and media representatives are planned as part of the visit.

The visit will last until November 30.
