A large section of the iconic Carolabrücke bridge in Dresden, Germany, collapsed into the Elbe river in the early hours of Wednesday. The collapsed portion included tram tracks and a pedestrian walkway. Fortunately, no casualties were reported in this dramatic event that occurred around 3:00 AM local time (5:00 AM Baku time).

The bridge collapse has severely impacted the city’s infrastructure, damaging two major district heating lines and leaving the entire city without centralized heating.
