
As a result of search and rescue operations in Turkiye’s Kahramanmaras, a 36-year-old man was rescued from the rubble 59 hours after the collapse of the building in the aftermath of the earthquake, Report informs referring to Anadolu Agency.
The man was taken to the hospital.
In addition, a 14-year-old Syrian girl was rescued. Rescuers spent about 2.5 hours trying to rescue her from the rubble. She is also hospitalized. Her parents were also rescued earlier. But it was impossible to save two of the five children of the family, their bodies were removed from the rubble. The search for the other two children continues.
The devastating earthquake affected 10 Turkish provinces, which are home to 13.5 million people.
