Azerbaijan was represented at the G20 Agriculture Ministers’ Meeting in Cuiaba, Brazil, by a delegation led by Minister Majnun Mammadov, Report informs, citing Azerbaijan’s Agriculture Ministry.

The event, attended by agriculture ministers from 23 countries, focused on sustainable agriculture, food security, and combating hunger.

During the meeting, Minister Mammadov highlighted the global threats to agro-food systems, including biodiversity loss, climate change, soil degradation, and water scarcity.

He emphasized Azerbaijan’s role as a key transit and logistics center in the Eurasian region, facilitating trade between East-West and North-South corridors. Mammadov also underscored the importance of hosting COP29 in Azerbaijan and fostering effective international cooperation.

The two-day event concluded with the adoption of a declaration.
