The struggle to expand the use of the Corsican language must be intensified, Paviyoni Shukovin, an inhabitant of the island of Corsica, told Report.

He emphasized the importance of the wide use of the Corsican language: “I support the struggle for the wide use of our language in every field. I am currently retired, but I am still doing my best on this path. I follow the Christian religion and I speak about my religion in our own language, Corsican. Hasanov emphasized the historical significance of the glorious victory gained in the Patriotic War under the command of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Ilham Aliyev. The Minister pointed out that the Martyrs are a source of pride for the Azerbaijani nation, and expressed his gratitude to parents for bringing up such decent children.

The Military Institute’s 549 servicemen took part in the Patriotic War. Ten of them became Martyrs, and one person was awarded the honorary title of “Hero of the Patriotic War”, in accordance with the relevant order of the head of state.
