Kia introduced its new logo by bringing out the fireworks — literally. It unveiled the design by setting a Guinness World Record in the skies above Incheon, South Korea, and it also revealed its new global brand slogan. Report informs referring to Autoblog.

Every member of the Kia range will adopt the redesigned logo in 2021. It still spells out Kia, there are no surprises there, but the name is written in blue with a more stylized font and connected letters. Executives pointed out the logo was shaped to look like it’s handwritten to signal the carmaker’s commitment to its new brand purpose. We’ll need to wait until January 15, when more details are released, to learn more about this newfound direction.

Kia pointed out it’s revamping nearly every facet of its business, and it launched the slogan “Movement that inspires” to reflect the change. It launched this process in late 2020 when it detailed a $25 billion product plan. It’s focusing on electrified vehicles and plans to introduce seven electric cars before the end of 2027. Still, it’s also developing off-roaders, including a Humvee-like model being designed primarily for military use.

Not content with merely sending out a statement, Kia revealed its new logo during a fireworks display in its home country of South Korea. It launched 303 pyrodrones synchronized to fire off hundreds of fireworks, a show which set a new Guinness World Record for the most unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) launching fireworks simultaneously.

Azerbaijan’s Defense Ministry has released video footage of Hamzali village of Gubadli district liberated from occupation.

According to the combat training plan for 2021, live-fire training exercises with the military personnel of the mortar batteries that are conducted in training centers and at firing ranges continue, according to the press service of Azerbaijan’s Defense Ministry. 

The servicemen are fulfilling the standards for deploying and taking firing positions on the terrain, detecting targets, adjusting fire, as well as for a quick change of firing positions.

Servicemen are also fulfilling tasks of destroying targets located at different distances using mortars. 

Training exercises continue.

The Prosecutor General’s Office of Azerbaijan continues to take comprehensive measures to expose the aggressor Armenia in the international arena.

Within those measures, the press service of the Prosecutor General’s Office prepared a video in Azerbaijani, Russian and English languages.

The video contains information about the crimes of the provocative armed forces of Armenia, which committed crimes against our army and civilians.

It was noted that as a result of strikes by the Armenian armed forces from September 27, 2020 to November 10, 2020, about 30 thousand shells and 227 missiles were fired at the regions and cities where the civilian population of Azerbaijan resides.

It was stated that armed forces of Armenia caused serious damage to the property of a large number of civilians as well as destroyed apartment buildings and non-residential areas.

From September 27, 2020 to November 10, 2020, 93 people including 12 minors and 27 women died as a result of shelling of civilians by enemy forces. 407 people, including 50 minors and 101 women, received injuries of varying degrees of severity.

The Russian oil company Lukoil will take part in developing the Azerbaijani-Turkmen Dostluk field in the Caspian Sea, Report informs referring to turkmenportal.com.

The relevant agreements were reached on Feb. 19 during the meeting of Turkmen President Gurbanguli Berdimuhamedov with the head of the company Vagit Alekperov.

“We welcome the Lukoil Public Joint Stock Company’s intentions to take part in the development of the Dostluk field and are ready to consider specific investment proposals for the implementation of this project,” Berdimuhamedov said.

Thanking the head of Turkmenistan for his trust, Vagit Alekperov assured that the company headed by him would make every effort to successfully solve problems related to the implementation of such a significant project as Dostluk.

On Jan. 21, Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan signed a Memorandum of Understanding on joint exploration and development of hydrocarbon resources of the Dostluk field in the Caspian Sea.
