
The volume of Kazakh oil transit through the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) pipeline will amount to 1.5 million tons in 2025, the Energy Ministry of Kazakhstan said, Report informs via Interfax-Kazakhstan.
“In 2024, Kazakh oil transit through BTC amounted to 1.4 million tons, with a target of 1.5 million tons. The plan for 2025 via BTC remains at the 2024 level – 1.5 million tons of oil,” the ministry said.
As previously reported, in 2023, more than 1 million tons of Kazakh oil was sent from the port of Aktau to the BTC.
In 2022, KazMunayGas and SOCAR signed a five-year agreement for oil transit along the Aktau-Baku-Ceyhan route with an annual volume of 1.5 million tons.
