“Azerbaijani Gymnastics Federation wonderfully organized the tournament. I am happy to win gold. This medal is really very important for all of us,” the Italian team’s captain Alicia Morelli has told AZERTAC.

Italy won gold in the rings competition at FIG Rhythmic Gymnastics World Cup in Baku, with 40,650 points.

“I like to compete in Baku because of excellent organization of the competitions here. It is my fifth visit to Baku and the first visit of my teammates. They are amazed by how perfect the FIG Rhythmic Gymnastics World Cup was organized,” the Italian gymnast said.

Morelli also hailed Azerbaijani gymnasts’ skills.
