Israeli Army Issues Urgent Order: Military Personnel in Azerbaijan Must Leave Immediately

The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) have issued an urgent directive prohibiting Israeli military personnel from remaining in Azerbaijan and Georgia, citing potential threats from Iran.

According to reports from ‘The Times of Israel’ the IDF’s leadership has instructed all Israeli servicemembers currently in these two South Caucasus republics to return to Israel immediately, regardless of the reason for their stay—whether it be for leisure, visiting family, or other purposes.

The military has refrained from directly commenting on the matter, offering only a general statement: “We continuously assess threats and accordingly update the list of countries where military personnel are permitted to stay.”

This development comes amidst heightened concerns over a possible Iranian attack, leading to increased security measures.
