“Azerbaijan’s triumph in Karabakh shines a light of hope for the entire world, especially for those displaced from their homes,” said Arshad Rashad Al-Salihi, Chairman of the Human Rights Committee of the Council of Representatives of Iraq, during the international parliamentary conference on “Parliamentarism: Traditions and Perspectives” in Baku.
Highlighting Azerbaijan’s efforts, Al-Salihi noted the restoration of the first school for the Turkmen people in Kirkuk and emphasized the enduring reliance of the Turkmen community on Türkiye and Azerbaijan.
“I believe Iraq should be represented as an observer in the Organization of Turkic States,” he added.
