President of the International Turkic Academy (ITA) Shahin Mustafayev has met with Deputy Minister of Culture, Information, Sports and Youth Policy of the Kyrgyz Republic Ainura Askarova.

During the meeting, the sides discussed bilateral cooperation in the field of culture.

Mustafayev provided insight into the International Silk Road History Exhibition and invited the Kyrgyz side to attend the exhibition, which will be organized by the Academy.

Kyrgyz Deputy Minister Ainura Askarova thanked for the invitation. Referring to three cultural elements inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List, the deputy minister highlighted Kyrgyzstan’s rich cultural heritage.

Askarova offered the ITA president to consider the possibilities of organizing joint events dedicated to the 95th anniversary of Chingiz Aitmatov.

ITA President Mustafayev expressed his interest in elaborating on this proposal.
