Azerbaijani international law expert Asaf Askar, who lives in Herford, Germany, has appealed to the US Senate for a deeper investigation into Senator Bob Menendez’s anti-Azerbaijan campaign, according to the State Committee for Work with Diaspora of Azerbaijan, Report informs.
The appeal emphasized that Bob Menendez used foreign policy, human rights, and anti-corruption principles as political tools.
The appeal also noted that Bob Menendez not only maintained a biased stance against Azerbaijan and Türkiye but also compromised US national interests for personal gain.
In his appeal, Asaf Askar urged the US Congress to establish a special investigative commission to thoroughly examine Senator Menendez’s anti-Azerbaijan campaign. “I am confident that such investigation will uncover even more serious corruption cases,” he stated.
