The Russian Sputnik V coronavirus vaccine will be registered in India after the third phase of testing in the next couple of weeks, the Indian Ambassador to Moscow Bala Venkatesh Varma told RIA Novosti, Report informs.
“Cooperation between India and Russia in healthcare is at an excellent level amid the pandemic, including in vaccines. The Russian Direct Investment Fund and Indian companies regularly contact each others,” the ambassador said.
“The first two trial phases of Sputnik V have been successfully completed. The third phase has begun. Once it is completed, it will be registered and produced for sale in India. I think it will happen in the next couple of weeks,” the envoy added.
The diplomat noted that RDIF cooperates with Indian companies to produce Russian vaccines in India for supplies to Russia and third countries.
