
The International Judo Federation (IJF) has praised the organizers of the Baku Grand Slam tournament, which took place on February 14-16 at the National Gymnastics Arena in Azerbaijan’s capital city.
In a glowing review published on the federation’s official website, the IJF stated, “Everything was orchestrated perfectly, giving the athletes from the 36 participating countries the opportunity to give their best, allowing them to collect valuable points for the world ranking.”
It noted that he Azerbaijan Judo Federation and all its partners can be proud of the work accomplished which has delivered another great success for this important event on the World Judo Tour calendar.
The federation also commended the outstanding performances of the Japanese and Azerbaijani teams, hailing them as among the strongest contenders.
Furthermore, the IJF highlighted the Azerbaijan Judo Federation’s unwavering commitment to promoting inclusivity and integrating all groups into society without discrimination, including children requiring special care.
