Hundreds of people took to the streets of Niger’s capital Niamey to express support for the country’s ruling National Council for the Safeguard of the Homeland and condemn imperialism and neocolonialism, Report informs via foreign media.

The rally was organized at the initiative of the education workers’ union.

During the demonstrations, protesters expressed gratitude to the new authorities for opposing neocolonialism and withdrawing the country from the sphere of influence of France and the USA.

Representatives of various parties and trade union associations participated in the demonstration. The participants emphasized the important role of youth in confronting external challenges and uniting the nation.
