“We don’t consider France’s policy in the South Caucasus effective,” Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan – Head of the Foreign Policy Affairs Department of the Presidential Administration Hikmat Hajiyev told journalists, Report informs.

He noted that the policy pursued by France in the region is harmful: “It does not contribute to the advancement of the peace agenda in the South Caucasus.”

He added that France’s implementation of the policy of militarization in the region is a serious blow to the process of normalization of relations between Baku and Yerevan in a situation where serious steps are being taken towards the peaceful transformation of the South Caucasus.
