
The Headquarters of the Clean Energy Center of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) will be located in Baku, as was reflected in the Charter of the ECO Clean Energy Center, Report informs.
The draft law on approval of the charter was discussed at today’s meeting of the parliament’s Committee on International Relations and Inter-parliamentary Relations.
“The Center shall promote the development of renewable energy and energy efficiency, and enhance capabilities of national institutions of ECO member states.
The ECO Clean Energy Center will provide support in relation to sustainable energy related issues and mobilize financial and technical resources to assist the implementation of low carbon project activities in ECO region,” the charter said.
