A group of state prosecutors has been formed for the trial of persons of Armenian origin accused of war crimes.

According to Report, the Azerbaijani Prosecutor General’s Office has disclosed the names of employees who will defend the state prosecution.

By the relevant order of Prosecutor General Kamran Aliyev, the following individuals have been included in the group:

– Vusal Aliyev, Senior Assistant to the Prosecutor General, Justice Counselor;

– Tugay Rahimli, Assistant to the Prosecutor General for Special Assignments, 2nd Class Lawyer;

– Nasir Bayramov, Head of the Department for Public Prosecution Support in District Courts of Baku, justice counselor;

– Fuad Musayev, Prosecutor of the Department for Public Prosecution Support in Courts on Grave Crimes, justice counselor;

– Vusal Abdullayev, senior prosecutor-methodologist of the Department for Public Prosecution Support in Courts on Grave Crimes, Justice Counselor;

– Tarana Mammadova, Prosecutor of the Department for Public Prosecution Support in District Courts of Baku, junior justice counselor.

Today, court proceedings began in criminal cases against 15 ethnic Armenians accused of war crimes – Arkadi Ghukasyan, Arayik Harutyunyan, Bako Sahakyan, Davit Ishkhanyan, Davit Babayan, Levon Mnatsakanyan, Davit Manukyan, Garik Martirosyan, Melikset Pashayan, Davit Allahverdyan, Gurgen Stepanyan, Levon Balayan, Madat Babayan, Vasili Beglaryan, and Erik Gazaryan, and Ruben Vardanyan, who was the “state minister” in the former separatist entity in Azerbaijan’s Karabakh region.
