Greece and India should accelerate the creation of a new economic corridor India – Middle East – Europe (India – Middle East – Europe Economic Corridor, IMEC), this will be facilitated by the strategic nature of Greek-Indian relations, Greek Foreign Minister Giorgos Gerapetritis said speaking in New Delhi at the international political science conference Raisina Dialogue.

Report informs via TASS that he said Greek ports can and should be the gateway for this corridor to Europe. “Since ancient times, Greece’s strategic location at the crossroads where three continents meet has provided opportunities for trade and knowledge exchange,” Gerapetritis said.
