
Germany will allocate more than 1 billion euros to help alleviate the consequences of the civil war in the Syrian Arab Republic and the states of the region, said Tobias Lindner, Minister of State at the German Federal Foreign Office, at a donor conference held in Brussels, Report informs via dpa.
In particular, 1.053 billion euros are intended to support residents of Syria and neighboring countries. At the same time, Lindner stressed that from Germany’s point of view, no refugee can be forcibly returned to the region.
