A new governor has been appointed to the Georgian region of Kvemo Kartli (Borchali), where ethnic Azerbaijanis live compactly.
Report’s Georgian bureau says that 33-year-old Giorgi Dokhturishvili has been appointed to this post.
He worked as a deputy to Shota Rekhviashvili, who resigned in September this year. The new governor took up his duties today.
