The opposition will lose in the upcoming parliamentary elections in Georgia, Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili said when commenting on the proposal of the chairman of the largest opposition party United National Movement Levan Khabeishvili to small parties on cooperation to overcome the 5% barrier, Report informs via Sputnik-Georgia.
“I see that the opposition will be defeated once again in the 2024 elections. I do not want to comment on the actions of frivolous people you mentioned, Khabeishvili and others,” Garibashvili said, noting that “these people are simply an ordinary marginalized force that has no agenda.”
“They cannot offer our public, our people, any alternative opinion,” Garibashvili said.
According to Garibashvili, the speeches of the representatives of the National Movement are “devoid of any content.”
