Georgian Foreign Minister Maka Botchorishvili discussed Georgia-EU relations during the Imedi LIVE TV program, highlighting significant shifts in recent dynamics, Report informs via GPB.

“Our traditional partners, allies, and friends have become our foremost critics and, in some respects, standard-bearers for interference in Georgia’s internal affairs and exerting pressure. In this case, I am referring to our European partners. The reasons behind their actions are a separate topic, but I attribute this to heightened security challenges in our broader region—Europe. It seems certain fears are driving these intensified reactions from some partner countries toward Georgia. Despite this, Georgia is learning valuable lessons from these developments, which will be instrumental in normalizing relations in the future,” Maka Botchorishvili said.

She acknowledged that the current state of Georgia-EU relations is unfavorable.
