Georgia is ready to ensure a free, fair and transparent electoral process in the upcoming 2024 parliamentary elections, Georgian Foreign Minister Ilia Darchiashvili said at a meeting with director of the OSCE’s Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODHIR) Matteo Mecacci, Report informs referring to TASS.

The meeting took place within the OSCE Ministerial in the capital of North Macedonia – Skopje. According to information on the Ministry of Foreign Affairs website, the head of the Georgian foreign ministry provided the director of the ODIHR with comprehensive information on Georgia’s implementation of the 12 recommendations of the European Union to obtain the status of an EU candidate country, as well as on the plan for implementing the recommendations contained in the European Commission report on enlargement.
