Georgian Ambassador to Azerbaijan Zurab Pataradze visited the Martyrs’ Alley to pay tribute to the victims of the January 20 tragedy, according to Report.

“Georgian Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Zurab Pataradze, together with heads of diplomatic missions accredited in Azerbaijan and Georgian Embassy staff, respectfully honored the memory of those who fell for the freedom of their Homeland 35 years ago. On January 20, 1990, peaceful residents were killed as a result of the brutal crackdown by Soviet troops on demonstrators,” the Georgian Embassy said in a post on social media.

The heads of diplomatic missions laid flowers at the Martyrs’ Alley at the graves of those who gave their lives for their home country in memory of the victims.
