Responding to the host’s questions on “attack” and “military operation”, Ambassador Abdullayeva noted that Azerbaijan had only implemented the local anti-terror measures.
The Azerbaijani diplomat underlined that the intelligence-sabotage groups of the Armenian armed forces in the Karabakh region of Azerbaijan had planted mines for the purpose of terrorism on the Ahmadbayli-Fuzuli-Shusha highway, as a result of which civilians and military servicemen were killed and injured. She said this and other provocations committed by Armenia had obliged Azerbaijan to launch local anti-terrorist measures.
“The separatists regime in Karabakh is politicizing the “humanitarian issue”. Azerbaijan has proposed several routes for delivery of products to Armenians. However, the separatists have blocked the Aghdam-Khankendi road, using it for political purposes,” Abdullayeva said when asked about the “humanitarian issue”.
The diplomat mentioned that the international community recognizes Karabakh as an integral part of Azerbaijan, adding that Azerbaijan implemented local anti-terrorist measures on its sovereign territory.
