Sending European forces to Ukraine is currently not on the agenda, French Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs Jean-Noël Barrot told France Info TV, Report informs via TASS.
“This issue is not on the agenda at the moment. No one has said they intend to send troops to Ukraine today. We say we want peace,” he stated.
Highlighting the security guarantees that the European Union could provide to Ukraine, Barrot noted that it’s too early to discuss this topic: “This issue will arise when the moment is right, once peace has been achieved and firmly established.”
The French Foreign Minister refused to provide additional comments on the topic of troop deployment in Ukraine.
