
The former culture minister of Kazakhstan, Arystanbek Mukhamediuly, has received a final sentence – 11 years in prison with a lifelong ban on holding positions in the civil service, Report informs referring to Kazakh media.
In June 2023, he was found guilty of major embezzlement during the “Procession of the Golden Man” exhibition. Then Mukhamediuly received eight years in prison.
On February 13 of this year, he received 11 years in prison with a lifelong ban on holding positions in the civil service for attempting to give a bribe on an especially large scale.
