Energy cooperation holds an important place in relations between Azerbaijan and Israel, Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov said following a meeting with Israeli Foreign Minister Eli Cohen in Jerusalem, Report informs.

“Azerbaijani oil makes up about 30% of the oil consumed by Israel. Israel also exports a significant amount of oil products from Azerbaijan,” he said.

He noted that today Azerbaijan is working on the transition to an economy based on sustainable, renewable energy.
