The Maidan scenario for Georgia was not only discussed, but even prepared, Georgian Foreign Minister Maka Bochorishvili said, Report informs via GPB.
“It is unacceptable when there is such sharp interference in a country’s domestic political life,” stated Foreign Minister Maka Bochorishvili, commenting on the statement by the Bureau of the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities of the Council of Europe, which reads that the Georgian government should pave the way for free and fair repeat elections at the national level and postpone local elections.
According to the Minister, it is complex to comment when, on one hand, the Council of Europe wants to present that the opposition speaks and acts on behalf of the entire nation and the whole Georgian people, and on the other hand, it appears that the opposition is not ready to participate in elections and needs time to mobilize supporters.
Maka Bochorishvili also addressed statements made by certain foreign politicians.
