Five people are trapped under rubble after an explosion hit a missile factory in Ankara, Report informs via Turkish media.


The fire occurred near Ankara at a factory for the production of missiles and warheads, owned by the defense machine-building and chemical enterprise MKE, Report informs via TASS.

The factory is located on the outskirts of the capital in the Elmadag district in a hilly area far from residential areas. An explosion was heard before the fire erupted sending smoke over the facility.

Firefighters and paramedics have been dispatched to the scene. There are no reports yet on the cause of the accident and possible casualties.
