The first batch of F-16s will arrive in Ukraine from Denmark in the spring, Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen said at a joint press conference with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said following the signing of an agreement on security cooperation.

The Danish Ministry of Defense announced the supply of F-16s to Ukraine the previous summer.

“We are working very persistently in this aspect and I hope that we will be able to see F-16s in the airspace of Ukraine in the near future before the summer,” she said in response to a question from a Ukrainian journalist about the timing of the appearance of Danish F-16s in Ukraine,

According to her, the delay in the delivery of fighter jets to Ukraine is due to technical reasons, since their maintenance “requires serious infrastructure.”
