She noted that during her visit to Baku, a number of meetings were held with representatives of this sector in Azerbaijan.

The development of 5G is associated with a number of technical issues. However, based on the results of the meetings held in Baku, it is clear that there is a very great interest and desire to switch to 5G technology in the country, she said.

Emily de La Bruyere added that technology could have a wide range of applications in both commercial, civil and military applications: The whole world is changing with new technologies and 5G is a great example of how it is possible to transfer information at a very fast speed. This creates new opportunities, but also increases the risk of possible information leakage. Despite this, digitalization is very important for economic development, she noted.
