President of the Regional Council of Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes of France Laurent Wauquiez visited Armenia in the last days of March. On March 29, he went to the section of the Lachin road connecting with Armenia, where he voiced political messages aimed at Azerbaijan and Türkiye. Laurent Wauquiez, who is going to run for the presidential elections in 2027, ‘went even further,’ declaring his intention to organize the passage of a humanitarian convoy through the Lachin corridor.

“The entry of persons like Laurent Wauquiez into our country without the permission of our state is a disrespect for the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan,” military expert Adalat Verdiyev told Report.

Verdiyev said that all the needs of the Armenians living in Karabakh are met by both the Russian peacekeepers and the International Red Cross Committee. Any goods and humanitarian aid are delivered:

“First, they don’t need anything. Secondly, the entry of such people into the territory of Azerbaijan without the permission of the Azerbaijani state is disrespect for the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan. Azerbaijan will not allow this under any circumstances.”
