Bulgaria is an attractive country for Azerbaijan as a transit country, that is, in terms of the implementation of existing agreements, including the delivery of additional gas volumes from Azerbaijan to Europe during the expansion of the Southern Gas Corridor and its last main segment, the Trans-Adriatic Gas Pipeline (TAP), by the head of the Oil Center Research, an expert on energy issues, Ilham Shaban told Report.

“According to official statistics, Bulgaria is the cheapest country that buys the gas exported by Azerbaijan to Europe. Greece and Italy offer us a higher price for gas transportation than Bulgaria,” said the expert.
