The European Commission proposed to allocate the first part of the macro-financial assistance package for Ukraine, President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen posted on Twitter, Report informs.

“Today, we propose €1 billion for Ukraine. The first part of the macro-financial assistance package was announced in May. It will help meet urgent needs in the country. The EU will keep on providing relief to Ukraine and in longer-term support its reconstruction,” she tweeted.
