The European Commission has approved a plan for the post-war reconstruction of Ukraine. The EU will allocate 9 billion euros of macro-financial assistance to Ukraine, Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal said, Report informs referring to RBC-Ukraine.

The plan was developed by the National Council for Post-War Reconstruction. It is on this document that the European Union will rely. According to the head of government, Ukraine will be the ‘owner’ of the process. For maximum transparency and efficiency, it is planned to involve European partners.

The recovery plan contains four main principles: the restoration of all infrastructure according to the latest standards and European policies; modernization of the Ukrainian state and institutions; maximum integration of Ukraine with the EU in all spheres and directions; economic transformation, including new opportunities for Ukrainian business.
