European Commission chairman Jean-Claude Juncker will not be able to attend the G7 summit in Biarritz due to health issues, Report informs citing TASS.

European Commission spokesperson Natasha Berto said they can confirm chairman Juncker will not be able to attend the G7 summit due to hospitalization.

“He will soon inform French President Emmanuel Macron and head of the Council of Europe Donald Tusk in this regard,” she said.

On August 7, the European Commission said Juncker was obliged to cut short his vacation in Austria over hospitalization.
