The system of certificates for vaccination against coronavirus in the European Union may start working in June, head of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen said on Saturday at a press conference in Porto following an informal meeting of the heads of state and government of the European Union and the EU-India summit.

Report informs, citing TASS, that, according to her, a political agreement on certificates could be reached by the end of this month. She added that a quarter of the EU’s 160-million population received the first dose of the coronavirus vaccine.

According to her, the European Union intends to vaccinate children and adolescents against COVID-19 and prepare for the disappearance of antibodies in people vaccinated at the first stage of vaccination, so it needs hundreds of millions of new doses of vaccines.
