The European Union (EU) has agreed on the suspension of visa-free travel for nationals of Georgia, Rreport informs via Georgian media.
The phase of consultations and agreements with the ministries of foreign affairs of the EU member states has already ended, but the final decision will depend on the results of the parliamentary elections to be held in Georgia. The EU can make an appropriate decision if the situation regarding democratic principles, including the principle of free elections, in the country deteriorates.
