The European Union aims to increase green hydrogen usage to 20 million tons by 2030, Peter Sztaray, State Secretary for Security Policy at the Hungarian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, stated at the “Ministerial Dialogue: Expanding investments to triple renewable energy use and double energy efficiency” event held within the framework of COP29, Report informs.

According to Sztaray, it will not be possible to reach this production level in Europe: “This is why the Green Energy Corridor is very important. We encourage the European Commission and financial institutions to thoroughly examine the Green Energy Corridor project and find ways to provide financial support. It is crucial to have extensive financial contributions from financial institutions and the Commission itself. We are confident that our cooperation will contribute to achieving green transition goals.”
