Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan will discuss a possible operation of the Turkish armed forces in northern Syria and Iraq with the country’s Security Council on December 1, Report informs referring to TRT Haber.

In addition to these operations, the Turkish leader intends to discuss issues of regional and international security.

“Multilateral assessments will be carried out for a new ground operation against the terrorist presence in northern Syria. Operations in northern Iraq will be assessed,” the statement said.

Erdogan may touch upon the situation around Ukraine, relations between this country and Russia, as well as the steps necessary to resolve differences between Ukraine and the Russian Federation.
