Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Thursday will inaugurate the new terminal building and runway of Ercan Airport in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC).

Report informs via foreign media that during the visit, Erdogan will also meet with TRNC President Ersin Tatar to discuss bilateral relations and the latest developments on the Cyprus issue.

Ercan Airport’s annual passenger capacity, currently at 4 million, could double to 8 million and then even 10 million after the new terminal and runway are brought online and ticket prices fall.
