Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has arrived in Azerbaijan for an official visit.

First Deputy Prime Minister Yagub Eyyubov, Deputy Foreign Minister Khalaf Khalafov, ambassador of Azerbaijan to Turkey Khazar Ibrahim, Turkish Ambassador to Azerbaijan Erkan Özoral, representative of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus in Azerbaijan Ufuk Turganer and other officials have welcomed Erdoğan at the Heydar Aliyev International Airport.

The Turkish leader will attend the 8th meeting of the Turkey-Azerbaijan High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council.

The conference, chaired by the presidents of the two countries -Ilham Aliyev and Recep Tayyip Erdoğan – will focus on reviewing Azerbaijan-Turkey relations and discussing opportunities for deepening cooperation between the two countries. The parties will also exchange views on regional and international issues and sign several documents.
