To date, 54,000 tents, 102,000 beds and other essentials have been sent to Kahramanmaras province, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said, Report informs via Anadolu.
About 1,000 ambulances, 241 AFAD (Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency) teams and 5,000 medical personnel have been deployed to the region, the Turkish leader said.
“We are facing one of the biggest disasters not only in the history of our republic, but also in our region and the world,” he said.
According to Erdogan, 100 billion lira resources have been allocated for emergency assistance and support.
